The guitarist Roberto Fabbri is invited to play in the native city of Andrés Segovia

XVIII Encuentro Internacional de Guitarra Ciudad de Linares "ANDRÉS SEGOVIA" 2009, organised by the Fundacion Andrés Segovia.
The roman guitarist was invited to play in the prestigious setting of Andrés Segovia’s native city. He will propose a programme mainly made up of compositions from the CD Beyond.
An execution of Mauro Giuliani’s Rossiniana no.6 will enrich the programme. Fabbri’s choice to play this work piece, based on Rossini’s themes and characterized by an extreme virtuosity, has been dictated by the guitarist’s desire to bring to Spain Rossini’s music, the famous Italian guitarist coeval to Paganini, on the recurrence of 150 years’ from Italy’s unity.
The “Cantilena de los bosques”, written by the great Cuban guitarist and composer Leo Brouwer, devoted to Roberto Fabbri, will also be played.

Roberto Fabbri Signature Collection

Why the need for a Signature Collection?
Roberto Fabbri’s teaching methodology and concert experience have brought to the realization of this new collection. It is a new anthology of classical guitar arrangements of good level that can be included in concerts.
The arrangements have been written by Roberto Fabbri or collected by the author from guitarist colleagues in his many concerts around the world.
The series start with two books dedicated to two well known Italian composers, then - in the other volumes - range from classical music to pop music, such as famous film themes and original compositions of both famous contemporary guitarists and emergent ones from all over the world.

Fiuggi Family Festival 2008 - Guitar meets movie

Roberto Fabbri performs famous film themes with the young orchestra Goffredo Petrassi of Zagarolo, directed by Maestro Fausto Di Cesare on the occasion of the first edition of the Fiuggi Family Film Festival - on the 28th of July 2008. The amplification of the soloist guitar has been achieved thanks to the prototype of a new amplifier for classical guitar: the AGL (this is placed between the Guitarist and the Director of the orchestra). The AGL amplifier is designed and realized in Italy by Acme Systems srl (www.acmesystems.it).
